Library

The STM Library plays an integral role in the education of our students.  We aim to nurture a love of reading to enrich imagination, build empathy and cognitive stamina and to develop critical thinking skills. The Library also provides quality resources to our classrooms to support student learning across all subject areas.

There is something for everyone at the STM Library from picture books, novels, early readers and non-fiction books to graphic novels and picture books for older readers.   Students visit the Library once a week to share a story and to borrow and return books. We explore different text types and teach valuable skills in research and media literacy. With the rapid development of digital technologies, we aim to equip our students with the skills to become lifelong learners.

The Library is open at break times during which students participate in craft activities, robotics, puzzles, play board games or simply read in a quiet space.

The STM Library Newsletter gives students access to an online collection of book reviews, story time videos, author talks and other reading related activities.

All students and staff have access to the ACEN Member collection on the Sora Digital Library platform with an extensive and diverse range of eBooks and audiobooks available for loan.

The STM Library also holds a collection of parenting resources with books from well-known parenting authors.  Parents are most welcome to borrow from this collection.
