Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As our term closes, I wish to thank you for all your support this term. It has a been a great start to 2021, our children have settled in really well this year. I hope you and your family enjoy our extended break and I’ll see you all back next term, Monday 26th April 2021.
Today, we sadly say farewell to Mrs Greig, who has been a pillar of our Early Years Education for many years. We thank Mrs Greig for all she has given to St Thomas More’s and wish her all the best.
In Week 1 next term our P&F will be leading a Mother’s Day Craft activity. As this activity will be replacing our Mother’s Day stall, we ask that each child brings in $5 to cover the cost of the gift your child will be making.
The repairs to our fort have been delayed due to our parts being delayed in transit. We expect it to be completed, with a new slide, during the holidays ready for Term 2.
This week I have had the pleasure of interviewing several potential Kinder families. It is always wonderful meeting our new families and providing them a school a tour, especially through our classes where our children are always very polite and engaged in their work. A reminder that Kinder 2022 enrolments close on the 28thMay 2021. I encourage you to submit expressions of interest early.
Unfortunately, this year school students are unable to participate in the ANZAC Day parade. Our School Captains are allowed to participate in the Cenotaph service, and they will be representing St Thomas More’s there. We will be holding an ANZAC Day prayer service on Monday 26th April as part of our Prayer Assembly.
Our Easter Break commences next Friday 2nd April 2021, the last day of school is Thursday. This year there is a 3-week holiday and school resumes for students on Monday 26th April 2021.
Have a happy and safe Easter and an enjoyable holiday.
God Bless,
Shayne Kidd
