Dear Families,

I am pleased to inform you that Miss Laura Harrison has been appointed as Prep M’s Teacher from the beginning of Term 2. Miss Harrison completed her final placement at St Thomas More’s last year and has had experience as a Learning Assistant and Camp Leader for Camps Tasmania. I am sure you will join me in welcoming Miss Harrison to St Thomas More’s Catholic School.

Today is the Feast of St Joseph. St Joseph is the stepfather of Jesus, who we identify as a gentlekind man. We wish the Sisters of St Joseph, St Thomas More’s Catholic School’s founding order, a happy feast day.  

Next week we expect our fort to be repaired, this will allow us to open the unburnt section. I thank our students for their patience while they wait for these repairs.

We will be commencing the NAPLAN Practice Tests next week. The purpose of the practice test is to help your children understand the structures of NAPLAN. NAPLAN is an important assessment that we as a school use to provide us with information on what your child and our teaching program. If you have any questions about NAPLAN please see your child’s teacher.
