Grade 1/2 Fire Pit Incursion
This week on Monday 29th June the whole class got to experience parts of Tasmanian Aboriginal culture. We sat around a fire pit at the back of the humpy at our school. We listened to Jason talk about different things that are used to make fie. He taught us some Tasmanian Aboriginal language and told us the names for fire, firestick and stone. Whilst we were talking and listening we got to roast marshmallows and we had two marshmallows for a surprise!
