October is Catholic Mission Month!
As part of our commitment to supporting global communities in need, we’re holding two exciting fundraisers: Crazy Sock Day and our annual House Soccer Shootout! Show off your wildest socks and cheer on your house team as we raise funds for Catholic Mission. Every coin counts — so dig through those couch cushions and help make a difference. Let’s come together in faith, fun, and generosity!
Welcoming Andrew Chinn!
We are thrilled to welcome Mr Andrew Chinn to our school on Friday, 24th October for a day of joyful music and faith-filled workshops with our students, culminating in a whole school concert at 2:00pm. Parents are warmly invited to attend — standing room only!
Andrew was a teacher in Catholic schools around Sydney for 20 years, teaching every grade from Kindergarten to Year 6 — including two years in Kindergarten/Prep! Since then, he has become one of the most well-known Catholic musicians in schools, with his songs like These Hands, Rainbow, An African Blessing, and Rise Up! sung by children across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, and Ireland.
We use Andrew’s music regularly in our class prayers, Prayer Assemblies, whole school Masses, and liturgies — so students are sure to recognise and love the music they’ll be singing with him on the day!
He has released 15 albums, 6 picture books, and created an amazing online resource for teachers: www.butterflyhouse.online. Andrew has visited nearly 1,200 schools around the world, sharing his gift of music and faith.
He lives in Wollongong with his wife Bernadette and their two beach-loving Shetland Sheepdogs, Mollee and Elbee. He’s a proud dad of four daughters and grandad to TEN grandchildren! He also cheers on the Illawarra Hawks, Sydney Swans, and Brisbane Broncos.
His music is available on Spotify and Apple Music — feel free to have a listen before the big day!
