Prayer for Good Humor
by St. Thomas More
Grant me, O Lord, good digestion, and also something to digest.
Grant me a healthy body, and the necessary good humour to maintain it.
Grant me a simple soul that knows to treasure all that is good
and that doesn’t frighten easily at the sight of evil,
but rather finds the means to put things back in their place.
Give me a soul that knows not boredom, grumblings, sighs and laments,
nor excess of stress, because of that obstructing thing called “I.”
Grant me, O Lord, a sense of good humour.
Allow me the grace to be able to take a joke to discover in life a bit of joy,
and to be able to share it with others.

Dear Families,
We’ve had another great week of learning here at St Thomas More’s. I see our students busy constructing, producing videos, and keeping fit whilst practicing for our cross country. Making Jesus Real, or better known as MJR, is an important part of our school, and some our G5/6’s have created a video showing MJR in practice, I hope you enjoy it.
I would like to thank everyone for their continued support in drop-off and pick-up. We still need to keep the gates locked to minimise the risk to our staff and students. If you do need to see a member of staff, we can organise a pre-arranged appointment. Please contact the office to do so.
Don't forget that on Monday we celebrate the feast of St Thomas More. I look forward to the day.
On another note, last night I braved the cold and slept in my backyard under a tarp. A big thank you to our whole community for your support. Through this, we have raised over $2,300 for the Vinnies to provide real, local support to people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk.
The National total for the Sleepout was over $5.2 Million, which will be used to help many people in our communities.
You can still support by clicking this link, every little bit helps. https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/sponsor?kw=shayne+kidd
Have a great week and keep safe.
God Bless,
Shayne Kidd

Congratulations to the following students for receiving awards this week
The Council has changed the two parking zones directly in the front of the school gates on Abbott St and Cambell St to NO PARKING zones. This means that the space is for drop off and pick up only, with no parking. If your child/ren are not ready, please use alternate parking, or continue around and re-enter at a later time.
The new no parking zone applies 8am - 9am and 2.30 - 3.30pm.
Thank you for your co-operation.
